Late Marriage in Korea 한국에서의 만혼

It might be just coincidence, but the few Ukranians and Russians I know all got married at an early age - in their early or mid 20s.	우연의 일치인지는 모르겠지만 제가 아는 몇 안 되는 우크라이나 사람이나 러시아 사람들은 모두 일찍, 그러니까 20 (이십)대 초반이나 중반에 결혼을 했습니다.
According to a news report the other day, the average marriage age of Korean males is 33.3 and of females, 30.1.	요전날의 뉴스 보도에 의하면 한국 남성들의 평균 결혼 연령은 33.3 (삼십삼점삼)세이고 여자는 30.1 (삼십점일)세입니다.
My cousin, who is 42 years old, is getting married soon in April.	올해 42 (마흔두)살인 제 사촌 오빠도 이번 4(사)월에 곧 결혼합니다.
This late marriage is becoming more and more common.	이러한 만혼은 점점 늘어나고 있는 것 같습니다.

Yesterday my friend and I had lunch together at her home. 어제 친구네 집에 놀러가서 점심을 같이 먹었습니다. Вчера я ходила к подруге в гости и съели обед вместе.

The last time I saw my friend was about two and a half years ago, at her wedding.	제가 마지막으로 친구를 만난 것은 약 2년 반 전에 친구의 결혼식에서였습니다.
Hearing the news that I passed the teacher test this year, she proposed that we meet together.	제가 올해 임용고사를 합격했다는 소식을 듣고서 친구가 만나자고 제안을 했어요.
We went college together, which means that our friendship has already been about fifteen years old.	저희는 대학교 동창입니다. 그러니까 저희들은 벌써 15년여 동안 친구였다는 거네요.
Wow, fifteen, can you believe that?	와, 15년이라니 믿어지시나요?
She can be counted as my old friend.	친구는 저의 오래된 친구인 셈이지요.
She was as gentle and sweet as ever when I saw her yesterday.	어제 친구를 만났을 때 언제나처럼 친구는 참 다정했습니다.
She first offered me some persimmons.	처음에 먹으라고 감을 깎아 줬습니다.
While I ate them and read some of her books in the room, she fixed lunch.	방안에서 감을 먹으며 책을 좀 보는 동안 친구는 점심 준비를 했습니다.
Wow, the perssimmons were so delicious!	와, 감이 아주 맛있었어요!
The following meal was also very tasty and excellent!	이어서 식사도 매우 맛있고 좋았습니다.

I commented that the anchovies were especially good, and it turned out that it was her husband's cooking. ^^	특히 멸치볶음이 맛있었는데, 친구한테 멸치볶음이 맛있다고 하니 사실 친구 남편이 만든 거래요. ㅋㅋ
We had a good time talking about food, her hobbies, travel.	친구랑 음식, 친구의 취미, 여행 등에 대해서 얘기하면서 재미있게 놀았어요.
She recently took to floral arrangement and said that she had made this bouquet for me and my mother.	최근에 친구가 꽃꽂이를 배웠는데 저랑 엄마를 위해서 이 꽃다발을 만들었다고 하더군요.

The pale green carnations looked like cute little cabbages!	연두색 카네이션은 양배추같이 생겼었어요. ㅋㅋ
I listened to her lecture on how to make a bouquet and how to take care of the flowers.	친구가 어떻게 꽃다발을 만드는지 그리고 어떻게 꽃을 관리하는지 알려 줬습니다.
Taking care of flowers is not an easy business at all.	꽃을 관리하는 것은 쉬운 일이 아닌 것 같습니다.

She had a water purifier at home which offered both hot and cold water.	친구네 집에는 뜨거운 물과 찬물이 나오는 정수기가 있었습니다.
It looked so awesome.	되게 좋아 보였어요.
I hope we can get one just like that soon.	저희집에도 그런 게 있으면 정말 좋을 것 같아요.
