If you are a Russian learner, you've probably learned that the Russian equivalent of 'in' is в, which is used before nations, with a distinct exception of Ukraine.	러시아어를 배우시는 분이라면 아마도 '~에서'에 해당하는 러시아어가  в이고 이것은 나라 이름 앞에 사용되지만 우크라이나의 경우에는 예외라는 것을 배우셨을 겁니다.
That's at least what most Russian textbooks published in Korea say: in Ukraine translates as на Украине.	적어도 우리나라에서 출판된 대부분의 러시아어 교재에는 그렇게 되어 있는 것 같습니다. '우크라이나에서'는 'на Украине' 라고요.
Being a novice Russian learner, I was very proud that I knew about на Украине and used the preposition "correctly".	초보 러시아어 학습자였을 때 저는 제가 на Украине에 대해서 알고 이 전치사를 (на) 정확히 쓸 줄 안다는 것에 대해서 매우 자랑스러워했답니다.
Whenever I said на Украине, I felt as if I was saying, "I am clever enough to know to say на Украине."	на Украине 라고 말할 때마다 '저는 이렇게 러시아어를 잘해요. ^O^' 라는 뿌듯한 기분이 들었습니다.
Morever, personally, I loved the soft sensation conveyed by the pronunciation of the phrase; after all, на sounds much better than в, which is just a single, curt consonant.	그리고 개인적으로 на Украине라는 말이 주는 부드러운 느낌이 매우 좋았어요. 그냥 자음 하나로 달랑 이루어진 в보다 на가 훨씬 더 부드럽게 들리지 않습니까?
However, Ukrainians seem to take offense at the expression as it may indicate that Russians consider Ukraine part of their territory, not an independent country.	하지만 우크라이나 사람들은 이 말을 싫어하는 것 같아요. 왜냐하면 그 표현은 러시아 사람들이 우크라이나를 독립국이 아니라 자기들 영토의 일부라고 생각한다는 것을 의미할 수 있거든요.
Come to think of it, Caucasus (Кавказ) - part of which belongs to Russia - goes with на, instead of в.	그러고 보니, 러시아의 지방인 카프카스는 в가 아니라 на를 쓰는 것 같아요.
My Ukrainian friend told me that nowadays Russians use в Украине in their official documents, which, I think, is a good first step towards being a nice neighbor.	제 우크라이나 친구가 요새는 러시아 사람들도 공식 문서에는 в Украине를 쓴다고 하네요. 좋은 이웃이 되기 위한 첫걸음인 것 같아서 개인적으로 마음에 듭니다.
Even though some Russians still seem to hold on to the phrase на Украине, now I invariably use в Украине because I want Ukraine to prosper as an independent country.	아직도 на Украине를 고수하는 러시아 사람도 있지만 저는 이제 언제나 в Украине를 씁니다. 왜냐하면 저는 우크라이나가 독립국으로 번영하길 바라니까요.
